American Airlines (AAL) reported earnings that beat the company’s fourth-quarter expectations. Earnings per share were a full $0.20 above analysts’ target. American Airlines also beat the company’s top line revenue target handily resulting in 4.6% sales growth compared to last year.

Global airline American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) announced in Q4 CY2024, with sales up 4.6% year on year to $13.66 billion. Its non-GAAP profit of $0.86 per share was 30.1% above analysts’ consensus estimates.

The carrier posted higher-than-expected results but its stock price took a hit after its forecast for the current quarter was under Wall Street expectations.
