Fourteen years since the iconic film franchise’s fifth installment, “Final Destination Bloodlines” is shaping up to be a box office success with its $100 million opening weekend, and its massively positive reviews on both Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.

The Final Destination movies make for a fantastic horror franchise, but the entries aren't created equal. Even the producer knows which one is the 'worst.'

After 14 years, the franchise returned with Final Destination Bloodlines on May 16. The new installment serves as both a prequel and a sequel, following Iris ( Brec Bassinger) as she saves everyone dining atop the Skyview restaurant, before her descendants begin to feel the consequences.

While Final Destination's specific brand of horror might be unique, these franchises offer similar thrills, gore, and creative kills.

The horror series started in 2000 with “Final Destination,” then “Final Destination 2” (2003), “Final Destination 3” (2006), “The Final Destination” in 2009, “Final Destination 5” in 2011 and the sixth film, “Final Destination Bloodlines,” which hit theaters on Friday.
