The governor of Bangkok says authorities are investigating why a high-rise building under construction collapsed during an earthquake that otherwise caused limited damage in the Thai capital.

Substandard steel has been found in the State Audit building which collapsed in Bangkok following the earthquake that struck Myanmar on Mar. 28. According to Thai media, 28 pieces of steel were taken from the wreckage by a team from Thailand's Industry Ministry and sent to the Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand for inspection.
