How far is this from Houmas House in Darrow? This looks like the "real deal" compared to what has been done with Houmas House. Want to visit at least 6 in the area.

Houmas Plantation is at least an hour away from Rosedown. If you are visiting six in the Rosedown area, you might want to include Oakley. It's in the James Audubon State Park. It's really a beautiful setting and an interesting plantation home. Not grand like Rosedown, but Rosedown is hard to beat. Myrtles is a pretty plantation home and the tour is fun. it's quite close to Rosedown. Nottoway is not close by, but it's amazing if you are heading that direction. I would think Nottoway would be closer to Houmas. It's hard to decide which ones to visit. These homes are incredible. Have fun! We
